Two new attractions will debut at Sesame Place in 2023

This week, it was revealed that Sesame Place San Diego, the only amusement park on the West Coast fully based on the acclaimed television program Sesame Street, will be introducing two new attractions.

The first is The Count's Splash Castle, a multi-level water play area with 111 play features, including two enormous tipping buckets that can each release more than 1,300 gallons of water. Three water slides, as well as soakers, flow pipes, hose jets, spray jets, water shooters, water curtains, tipping troughs, spinning and sliding buckets, and much more, according to park officials, will be included in the attraction. The original splash area has been replaced by the Count's Splash Castle, which is twice as big.

The Sunny Day Café, an all-day character restaurant where visitors may savor a selection of dishes and extraordinary experiences with their favorite characters from the popular show, is the second attraction. Dine with Elmo & Friends will be one of many unique events and activities that will be held all year long in the new indoor, 5,000 square foot, air-conditioned structure.

As stated by Jim Lake, president of Sesame Place Park, they are thrilled to provide their visitors and Season Pass holders more reasons to come to the park all year long. They  anticipate a wonderful year because of the new attractions, expanded eating options, and event calendar for 2023 that will be all new to the visitors.  In order to improve the visitor experience, they are always adding new activities and events. The guests will have greater convenience during their days at the park thanks to the growth of the eating options, mobile ordering, and the increased opportunity for them to connect with their favorite characters.
